Another College Blog

  So, I just read Mia's latest post.  I figured I should probably update you on more than just my hair.  This summer as you know I'm working at the diner and the job isn't bad, but honestly the money is going for things like this dress. I think I'd like the job more with more freedom to spend my paycheck on what I wanted to spend it on. I am moving in with Dave again. I don't know how thrilled he is about that because he knows as well as I do that we're going to have to girly up our place. I'm hoping I can get the girls to be reasonable. I don't care if my apartment is a little girly, but if it's girlier than their own apartments, I won't be happy. My big fear is that I'm living 24/7 as a woman for the most part this summer. I have blonde hair, shaped eyebrows, and my appearance is just getting more and more extreme.  I worry about what happens if my friends from home, my sisters, or my parents pay a visit to take me to lunch or something. I...

  To say I wasn't happy about the blonde dye job would be an understatement. As you might expect, Mia and friends tricked me into it. Sometimes being with her is like being in a mob movie. The hair stylist was happy to dye an unwilling guy's hair.  I think they should have a Hypocratic oath like doctors do to make sure that they don't do any harm. The one good thing is I have been assured that if I cooperate this summer, I can go back to being a brunette before school starts, but I'm so nervous about friends or family coming down to visit me this summer.  

 So, I didn't exactly get a choice about staying at school or going home this summer. I also got another big change in my appearance as you can see. I guess the positive thing is it did increase my tips. I have been told if I'm a "good girl" during the summer I will be allowed to go back to my normal hair color for Fall. I have a lot to catch you up on. Sorry I've been gone for so long, but you should be getting regular updates again now.

  This one is going to be embarrassing.  I'm not only waitressing, but I'm doing it at Mom's, which means I'm at Mia's favorite place and I guarantee she'll come in a lot when I'm working and she will always sit in my section.  Very few places make their waitresses wear uniforms anymore and I know it could be worse.  One of you suggested I get a job at Hooters, but it still means wearing a short dress everyday and the girls aren't letting me wear the most comfortable shoes either. This means I can stay down at school for summer because I can support myself, but this is just so embarrassing.  I've never been a server before and I'm still learning how to do the job.

  So, we did Rocky Horror and I was Dr. Frank N Furter.  I definitely didn't look like I do as Kayla thanks to dark makeup and a wig, but it was a little weird because I was out in women's clothing, but I was out as Kevin not as Kayla. I had to remind myself that if anybody I knew saw me, I was Kevin.  Mia actually borrowed one of my maid outfits for her costume. I guess things have come full circle. She made me get the maid outfit to clean her room and here she was having to borrow it herself even if there was no way in Hell she was cleaning anything herself.  I have a job now and it's the one I wanted the least. Today was training and I'll start for real tomorrow.  The thing that sucks is that I've been hired as Kayla rather than Kevin.  I'm working under the table and I'm pretty sure they wouldn't care anyway. I really wanted a desk job, but I am now waitressing at Mia's favorite restaurant--Mom's. The uniforms are horrible and I am pretty sur...

  I stopped on the way home yesterday to get my hair and nails done.  Mia demanded I do it after Christmas break and decided I should do it again after spring break. The pink nails are really not useful for me because they are about to be disassembled before class tomorrow.  The hair however will stay.  It's starting to get more body and the girls were thrilled with how well it turned out. I have to admit that I am starting to look more and more like a girl.  Even I can see it.  I had a few interviews today as the job search continues. I hope to hear back by tomorrow.  Wish me luck.

I tried on some spring outfits as Mia had told me to do over break.  Having two sisters who are on the fashionable side, I have plenty of outfits to pick from and even better--it's not that hard to access their out of season clothes and it's still cold for spring clothing.  I got several outfits, just like I did at Christmas and began posing in them just when my 18-year-old sister Holly arrives by surprise.  I'm wearing a pink dress and have my phone on a stand for pictures.  I quickly, grabbed the phone and ran to hide because she was coming downstairs.  As you can see, we have hard wood floors and I'm wearing heels. I ran into the bathroom and quickly locked the door. I don't know if Holly heard the heels, but she did see the folded up dresses on the couch and of course my other sister is away at college still. She called into me through the bathroom door and I told her that I don't know where the dresses came from. She wants to talk to me, but I faked a stoma...
