Shopping

Despite having way more money for clothing than any woman should, I still wind up having to spend time looking for bargains.  Becs and Mercedes took me thrifting the other day and I picked up yet a couple more outfits.  If this keeps up, I'm going to need a storage unit soon. It was nothing too exciting, but I'm sure you'll see me in them soon enough. There's the new purse that Mia is so thrilled by.  She insists it was my idea, but come on.  Really?  The thing that sucks about purses is how many things I carry in them that I wouldn't want anybody else to seeing.  Even if I pass as Kayla, I still don't like people seeing pads or worse handcuffs in my purse.

Girls' Day with Jenna

Image
So, the girls decided this was a good day for Jenna and me to hit the town for some quality girl time.  We did a lot of shopping, from clothes, to party decorations to makeup.  It kind of reminds me of when Fiona first started because I've been dressing pretty much every day for almost 3 years now and Jenna is still very new to it all.  My sisters have made her dress at college, but she hasn't done the extensive work I had to do on movement, voice, and mannerisms that I have.  As a result, I pass much better and though Jenna is fairly feminine looking despite wearing extensions, she is much easier to read.  It makes me very nervous because if she gets read, the chances are very high that I will be read too.

Sorry It's Been So Long

Image
I'm sorry that it's been so long since I have posted, I'm not actually even in any trouble for it.  I had a chance at straight A's this quarter and my grades the first two years weren't exactly stellar.  I blame it on the major changes that I went through, but the girls have other reasons.  Anyway, I went out shopping today with my sisters and my mom decided to come along which meant that I didn't have go as Kayla, but that didn't mean my sisters were going to let me shop for what I wanted to.  Here I am with about 1,000 women buying shoes as part of a big post-Christmas sale. I have an internship next semester and I've already had to work on finding a placement.  Unfortunately, Mia and the gang think I'll be doing some sort of fashion design internship as Kayla.  This is a strictly Kevin class because there is no way, I would be able to do the paperwork to take this class as a girl and also that would be too difficult an environment to pass in. ...

Going Home

Image
My parents were fine with me staying at college for summer again, but my mom insisted that I come home for a weekend and I agreed.  Now, I love my parents and it was so good to see them.  I certainly don't want them coming down here to visit me and I want them to know that I still want them to be an important part of my life.  Unfortunately, going home meant seeing my sisters Kim and Holly.  Now don't get me wrong, I love my sisters and I always have, but we are close in age and that means competition.  Also, being outnumbered I would often make comments about women just to get a rise out of them.  They are really enjoying having me under Mia and her friends' thumbs at college and I am coming back with a whole bunch of hand-me-downs as well as a few summer dresses we bought on a shopping trip. They had gotten my aunt's old wedding dress and couldn't wait to have me model it and in general they tormented me all 4 days I was home.  I am never goin...

Pants Time

Image
I got a couple of new spring outfits today as well as purchased a few new purses, which are just one of the accessories that I have learned I do not have enough of. I hadn't made any new purchases since right after Christmas and I could tell Paige and Becs were starting to really want to take me shopping. I'm really suffering from something I call skirt fatigue.  I don't wear pants at work an I don't wear them at home.  The only place I really wear them is in some of my classes.  I'm really starting to go through skirt fatigue.  I don't accuse the girls of not being feminine, but they're always in pants at seems.  Right now, I'd kill for a pair of women's jeans or slacks. Even a pair of capris would be nice. I've mastered sitting modestly in a micro mini-skirt, but that doesn't mean I'm thrilled to do it.

Fiona Update

Image
Mia has me using a treadmill to work on my walking in heels.  I wish we had the kind with railings because I really banged my left knee when I fell once, but I've gotten a lot better at it.  I'm really trying to do my best to post, but it's tough because getting all dressed and made up at home leaves me very vulnerable if somebody comes back. With the crazy weather we've had, it's been even tougher because people have been staying home more.  I do have a much bigger girl's wardrobe not just because of what I got at Christmas but also because of some of the shopping I've done since getting home.  I'm not spending big bucks, but I have been filling in my wardrobe.  I've also lost 10 pounds since I started trying to drop a bit of weight.

Kayla's Shopping Adventure

For some reason, Kayla seemed shy about talking about her shopping adventures. I'm sure I can convince her to post all about them next week. In the meantime, here's a video by Paige of Kayla's big weekend. I hope this didn't confuse you too much.  After we began turning Kevin into Kayla, I was made an administrator on his blog.  I can easily see which of us made posts, but I didn't realize you couldn't.  Obviously, this post is by me -- Becs

I Dodged a Bullet

Image
This was a tough weekend.  We went shopping the whole time and I'm currently watching the Bears get their butt kicked by the Packers while I wear my brand new cheerleading outfit, but I totally dodged a bullet.  Mia made a "bet" with me that if her Raiders beat the Cardinals, I would have to be her maid for a week.  I put "bet" in quotes because usually a bet gives both sides something if they win.  Anyway, the Cardinals had an amazing comeback and tied the game up on the last play of the game and then won it in overtime with a defensive touchdown when the Raiders were threatening to score. I got my reprieve and Mia was pissed. As I said, it was a weekend of shopping.  I wasn't happy about it.  We bought me a lot of new things and it was pretty embarrassing.  I was allowed to go in my boy clothes, but that meant trying stuff on without makeup on looking like an obvious guy.  I got a manicure complete with polish and spent about $118 of my o...
