Another College Blog

  Jacob is here and unfortunately, his timing could not be worse.  His knowledge of what college life is like comes from movies and videos he has seen.  He's here to party and I get it.  I can't imagine that there's a great social life going to a community college, but if he had come last month there would have been time to entertain him.  We're at the tough part of the semester where papers, presentations, and finals happen. I can tell that he's pissed off Ashleigh and Allison already after getting really drunk on both Friday and Saturday nights.  The good news is that he's had enough to do with parties that he hasn't been too bothered by me working and doing course work to hang around with him as much as I normally would.  He really is a great guy, but this is a horrible time to get a crash course on fitting in at DuPont.

  So, the girls decided that today should be roommate makeover day today.  It's already pretty embarrassing that we have to do things like paint each other's toes, but I think I did pretty good on Fiona's makeup.  I don't think she's ever looked this good, which I take some pride in.  I think the bangs in her wig help and I think she kind of looks like Ellie Kemper. She's been working very hard and spent Saturday trying to learn to do her own makeup and walk in heels.  Saturday, Mia and I went out for dinner and massages.  It still freaks me out the way she can be so sweet and funny and just a good friend.  Then the next moment, she's making me do something really humiliating for her amusement the next moment. Yesterday was one of the best days since all of this started. I wish I had known about the free massages earlier. Friday, I went out with Ashleigh and Allison. That wasn't horrible, but naturally we wound up at a club and that meant dancing with ...

  I've never talked about Allison that much in this blog.  One of the things about her that makes her so dangerous to me is that she lives about three miles away from me. She stopped by tonight unexpectedly and I wound up having to go out to dinner with her.  Now, she was nice enough to pay, but since nobody was here when she arrived, she insisted that I get dressed and made up. Going out in public dressed up and worried I might run into somebody I knew was a bit tough. but the real problem was sneaking back because by the time we were done my family was home.  We sprinted up the stairs and made it without being seen.   Tomorrow I go back to DuPont and into Mia and friends' clutches.  I have half a mind to put my foot down, but we'll see how it goes. I'm ready to get back to school.   I realize I never did tell everybody about meeting my friend.  We had a good time together and he noticed the eyebrows, but nothing else. My hair was alrea...

  We don't have classes today because of the election so, I was up bright and early to go to the gym with Ashleigh and Allison.  This week, we bought me about 5 different workout outfits.  They're all the same, but they're all in different feminine colors. Of course, this pink one is the worst. Ashleigh and Allison are both workout fiends and they have both created a fitness program for me which I'm not happy about. As you can see, I'm not exactly overweight. It's bad enough that they want me eating like a girls. Other than the stair climber, I'm not really using machines or weights for much of this.
