The Game

Image
So, I knew the girls were up to something,  First, they tried to switch my opponent wen I agreed to play Mia, then they informed me that they never changed the dress code so I had to play in heels. Well, I still beat Mia though the game was pretty close because of the handicaps.  Unfortunately, even after I beat her she decided we had to play horse. Well I was leading her HOR to HO, but I still lost. So we won the right to wear guy clothes on the 4th of July, but Fiona and I heave to go on dates, which means neither of us will dare not be as feminine as possible so it's not really much of a victory.  What stinks is I saw this coming and I still couldn't get out of it.

Clubbing

Here are some pictures of me dancing at the club.  Yeah, there are guys with my in picture 2 and 3, but they cropped them out.  Pictures 1 and 4 are me dancing, but just with the girls and not partnered up.  Mia is on my last nerve.  She says short shorts and sundresses are fine during the day, but in the evening, she expects us all in heels, evening makeup, and tight dresses even to just stay around the apartment and watch television. In addition, she's been teasing me a lot about my ability on the basketball court.  I'm good enough to be playing for the college, but she won't stop teasing me about it.  I think she thinks that because I wear dresses so much more than she does that I can't dribble anymore or something. I say bring it on, I'll gladly school her if she wants.

One Year Anniversary

Image
I created this blog on August 17th of last year. My first post was made on the 20th and featured the picture of me from high school on the left. I posted how I wasn't going to play college basketball.  In retrospect, it seems pretty silly.  As you can see there have been some huge changes in a year. If the girls have their way, there will be even more.  I appreciate those of you who have been around for all of it.

One of the Toughest Decisions I've Ever Made

Image
Basketball has always been an important part of my life and I was disappointed when I didn't get a single scholarship offer despite averaging over 12 points and four rebounds in leading Valley to the state playoffs. I'm sure my height had a lot to do with it. I'm not even average height for a guard, but I make up for it with quickness and a shooting touch (35% from three-point range last season). Plans Change I was so determined to prove myself that I was going to walk on at DuPont this year. I know that I can play well enough to make the team here. I've watched them practice and I am sure I would be starting by sophomore year, but then what? I'm not good enough for the NBA and it's not like they're scouting DuPont anyway. I decided that instead of busting my butt in this dead end basketball dream, I would just be a normal student (though I'm going to kick some serious butt in intramurals). Besides, the girls at college are hot and I can use the tim...
