Job Interview
I meant to publish this yesterday and forgot to hit publish after writing it. I had a job interview at the library yesterday and it went okay. Believe it or not, I've never had a job interview before. It's not like i haven't had a job, I just never had to interview as my parents' friends were willing to hire me and they already knew me better than they would from an interview.
I don't mind getting a job, but having a job as a woman has all sorts of other issues. For one, if the purpose is to get me money to pay for clothes, having to get more work-suitable clothes will be an issue. This outfit was loaned to me by Ashleigh, but I generally have no sensible shoes or professional looking outfits. I have very few pairs of women's pants. Social security is going to be a big hang up. At the college, they're very open to non-binary and transgender students, but a private employer might have a bigger problem with discovering Kayla isn't actually a woman.
Finally, my parents told me that I wouldn't need to work at college and should focus on my studies. Anyway, the library isn't a bad gig. It seems like a lot of sitting where I would actually be able to study on the job. I should find out Monday if I got it. Wish me luck.
Good luck, Kayla. I'm sure they were impressed by you.
